Shoshanah Homan is the composer and lyricist of the song JOURNALIST. She played acoustic guitar, piano, synth and rythmn and was the vocalist.
Journalist was first released as track no 2 on a physical CD “The System” in 2004 under the name SHAKHAN.
The System is a set of protest songs, the other 9 songs being the work of Davyd. Davyd recorded the album in an upstairs flat in Fulham, London. He did the mixing and mastering in the loft studio using Cubase. Shakhan released this music through their UK indie record label (no longer active).
The physical CD that was released through Distributor: CD Baby in July 2004 is no longer available for purchase. Keeping pace with developments in the music industry, the album was released digitally that same year and once again after a remaster in 2011, after Shakhan had moved to New Zealand. It is this version of Journalist (remix) that is available today on Spotify (all territories), Apple Music (all territories) Amazon UK and US.
